My name is Billy Hayes I'am the Founder / Ceo of FreshStart D.L.B. Prison Ministry, I'am also an ex-felon that have been down 3 times and also an x substance abuser, 5yrs sober with a  Certified  Assoicate Addiction Professional Certification by the State of Illionis.

 This last time I was in prison, I observed how a man is at peace,  when his family  visited or sent  mail  he was very active smiling, laughing full of hope. His  prison time went well.

But  once his visit and mail stop, his attitude changed for the worst , FreshStart D.L.B. Prison Ministry letter writing program is  design to  reach  men and women and our young adults  who think they know it all with words of encouragement , to let them know that someone cares.

FreshStartD.L.B. Belives it is important for our men to have an organization that can connect them back into the community.

FreshStartD.L.B. believes that all our men want to lead produtive lives, if given the chance.

FreshStartD.L.B. will provide recently released men with a safe and non jugmental place to live. Here they will be at peace to deal with their inner and outerproblems.

FreshStartD.L.B. will provide resources, services and programs to fit the special needs of our men, that will assist them in their transition into independent living while becoming a productive citizens as well.

WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT OUY MEN

1) Every man must be given a chance to be productive in our society

2) Each man must be given a chance to change and to grow

3) Once given the proper tools and skills, every mancan make a positive change in their lives

4) Once given a chance each man can build / rebuild their confidence day by day.
